What deserves a real-time alert?

A useful alert changes an immediate decision. Here is how Malaysian product teams can separate action from noise.

Real-time does not mean every event should interrupt someone. Start with a decision: pause a campaign, investigate a checkout failure, adjust capacity, or contact an account owner. If nobody can act within the alert window, the signal probably belongs in a daily report.

Define the normal range first

A fixed threshold can mislead when Malaysian traffic changes by hour, weekday, public holiday, or campaign cycle. Compare the current period with an appropriate baseline and require enough event volume before escalating.

Give every alert an owner

Document who receives it, what evidence they should check, and when it can be closed. Review alert usefulness monthly. Removing an alert that never changes a decision is good analytics maintenance.

Make it practical

Your analytics should match the decisions, timing, and responsibilities of your own team. If you want an independent view of your current setup, we can map a focused next step.
